My Learning Tree Academy is an educational center dedicated to nurturing child development.
Our philosophy is to foster each child's growth and education in a stimulating and caring learning
environment. This environment allows children to develop their linguistic, social, physical, and
cognitive skills. We encourage children to explore their abilities and creativity, helping them
develop a strong sense of identity, competence, and independence.

Afterschool Childcare Services
Summer camp activities, including cheer and sports classes. We also accept school-age children from 3–6 PM or during school district closures. Please note: we do not provide transportation.

Karla Benavides Garcia
With over 15 years of experience in early childhood education and childcare leadership, Karla Benavides-Garcia is dedicated to providing children with a safe, nurturing, and academically enriching environment where they can thrive.
Before founding My Learning Tree Academy, Karla successfully owned and operated Shiloh Crossing Learning Center for 13 years, building a strong reputation for excellence in childcare and early education. She also gained valuable classroom experience while working with the Laredo Independent School District (LISD), at the PK-3 and Kindergarten levels. Karla holds a degree in Early Childhood Education and is Texas Rising Star (TRS) 4-Star Certified—the highest quality rating awarded to early childhood programs in Texas. She is also Curriculum Certified and remains committed to implementing research-based practices that support each child’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development.

Her hands-on leadership, passion for education, and commitment to excellence are reflected in every aspect of the academy.

At My Learning Tree, we provide exceptional child care for infants, toddlers, preschoolers, kindergarteners, and afterschoolers. We accept CCS and CBP subsidies, and offer nutritious meals and a research-based curriculum. With 14 years of experience, our small ratio classes ensure personalized attention for every child. We are open from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday during the school year, and from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM during the summer.
Please note: doors close at 8:30 AM and reopen at 2:00 PM.

My Learning Tree Academy operates year-round, Monday to Friday. Hours are 7 AM to 6 PM during the school year and 7 AM to 5:30 PM in the summer.
